Description |
A charming example of a French slate
clock garniture dating from the 19th Century with a black
slate face and brass roman numerals.
The clock is lovely quality, the case is black slate with
fine detail motif in gilded
engraving. The same fine detail motif appears on
both of the "Tazza" garniture vases.
The glass is of quality
bevelled edged glass.
It has been thoroughly checked, cleaned and is in full
working order. It keeps excellent time and chimes on the
hour and on the half hour.
As you would expect the slate does have one or two
insignificant nibbles but nothing to detract from the
overall beauty of this timepiece.
The key is present.
Height 22cms (8½")
Width 42.5cms (16¾”)
Depth 17cms (6½”)
Tazza bases are 12cms (4¾) by 16.5cms (6½”)
