Description |
What another rare
find!
We found this one owner stove in a small village on the
eastern border with Belgium. It is enamelled on all four
sides in a beautiful burgundy colour , and on each side of
the casting is an organic flower motif. The
superbly flowing corner pillars are nickelled. The natural
and continuous art nouveau design dates the stove to
around 1910.
The firebricks have been renewed with a modern
fireboard.
All metal work has all been newly re-nickelled and
looks superb.
The mica has been replaced in the door.
One of the rear hinges has been professionally
repaired.
The top plate has also been professionally repaired.
The condition is absolutely magnificent, and the
colour is superb.
The firebox, riddler and ash box are all in excellent
working order and it is ready to use.
This stove would add grandeur to any period home and
would compliment an elegant conservatory.
This is a rare opportunity to own a working, living
individual piece of French 20th C history. Stoves like
this one do not come on the market often so we advise
you to offer early to avoid disappointment.
Height 89cms (35”)
Height 110cms (43½") with the lid up
