This
is an imposing wonderful stove, coming from the art
nouveau movement about 1910-1920
We have shown it here with a bio fuel burner
eliminating the need for a flue system or chimney.
You don’t need to have a huge drawing room to get the
benefit from this refined stove. The casting designs
on the front of the stove are exquisite.
It was made by the well known manufacturer Deville
& Cie of Charleville in the Ardennes between 1910
and 1930, and can be found in their 1926 catalogue.
This is medium sized stove, and is called a 'poele
à feu visible et continue' by the
manufacturers.
In pristine condition, and with the quality of casting
and enamelling associated with Deville, Regalia
epitomises the best in art nouveau style and design.
Please note that Regalia has undergone a complete
strip down and rebuild with the following new parts:
smoke box/throat plate; firebox side plates; new top
plate; removable top grill and a new set of
firebricks. It has been re enamelled in BRG as a
customer requirement.
It is between 90 & 100 years old, and all working
parts are in excellent condition, just connect the
flue, light the match and away you go!
This stove was designed for coal and coke burning, it
will burn wood easily too but in smaller pieces. It
will run on one charge of anthracite for 12-18 hours
This is a beautiful, unusual stove and these photos do
not really do it justice.
